Built in 1861 and once served as barraks for civil war soldiers.
The 14th Michigan Infantry Regiment moved into what was then known as the Norris Block in 1862.
In 1863 The 27th Michigan Infantry Regiment was stationed here during training.
Later (1895) it became Depot Towns first fire station.
